Every now-and-then, I’ll stumble across a great quote, or an insightful piece of advice. It’s even better when it comes from an important and historically famous philosopher.
I love this insight from Aristotle.
“Excellence is an art, won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather, we have those things because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.
In a nutshell, he’s saying that the choices we make every day, define the sort of person we’ll become.
So remember, no matter how big your problems might become, or how tempted you are to stop, if you continue to do what’s right every day, you WILL be excellent 🙂
Take the time to decide what your routine choices’ll be. The habits you develop and sustain now, decide the level of fulfilment in your future.
